This is the HondaJet HA-420

Certified: December 2015

The HondaJet HA-420 is a very light jet and was the first aircraft type produced by Honda. It became iconic because it was the first jet to have over-the-wing engines which helped increase cabin size, reduced drag and noise and improved fuel efficiency.

When it was built, it was one of the fastest flying very light jets at 782 km/h / 485 mph and also one of the furthest flying very light jets at 1407 miles / 2265 km for up to 6 passengers.

The HondaJet is around 15% more fuel efficient than other very light aircraft and has reduced drag due to its lightweight materials (carbon fibre composite and aluminium), its aerodynamics, its wings and engines position and design, as well as its fuselage design.

The HondaJet can take off from 1219 meters and climbs at a rate of 3990 ft / 1216 meters a minute. It takes 12 minutes to reach 31000 ft and a total of 24 minutes to reach 43000 ft. The HondaJet takes 22 minutes to land from 43000 ft and can land in 930 meters.
